About the District
The Hoskins-Kings Valley Rural Fire Protection District provides essential fire protection, emergency medical services, and rescue operations to the Hoskins and Kings Valley areas in Oregon.




Hoskins-Kings Valley Rural Fire Protection District protects approximately 30 square miles of unincorporated Northwest Benton County and a small section of Southwest Polk County in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Notable features include the foothills of the Coastal Mountain Range, the Luckiamute River, farm, range and timber land. There are around 175 households within the District. The District also protects the Kings Valley Charter School, Kings Valley Store, Fort Hoskins County Park, small businesses such as agricultural and logging operations, and State Highway 223. The District is within Corvallis Fire Department’s Ambulance Service Area and Polk County Fire District #1’s for the small area of Polk County which the District serves.
The District consists of one station located at the junction of Kings Valley Highway and Hoskins Rd, which serves the entire district. The station presently houses 5 apparatus to include a water tender/engine combo, structural engine, heavy brush engine, light brush engine, and medical van.
HKVRFPD responds to all types of structural fires, wildland fires, motor vehicle crashes, medical emergencies, public assists, or other types of rescues or hazards within our District.
HKVRFPD works closely with automatic and mutual aid partners, namely Philomath Fire & Rescue, Corvallis Fire Department (for EMS), Blodgett-Summit RFPD, Oregon Department of Forestry, and Polk County Fire District #1.
